About Me

Hello There!

My name is Arielle Ayala. I also go by Ari, Mommy, and Mrs. Ari.

I'm married to my best friend and high school sweetheart, Oscar. We've been married for 6 years next month!

I am Mommy to Chloe. She is my beautiful, six-year-old princess. She was diagnosed with autism in 2012, but she has come SO far thanks to all the wonderful teachers and therapists that have worked with her! I'm so excited that she will be starting school at a Christian school in the fall and will be in a "general ed" Kindergarten class! She is our pride and joy, her personality lights up any room and her smile is contagious. She loves to dance, sing, do gymnastics and swim.

Teaching: I am a substitute teacher for Mesquite ISD and a full time student at Western Governors University - Texas majoring in Elementary Education. I have ALWAYS wanted to be a teacher, for as long as I can remember. I love working with kids. Ideally, I'd love to teach 1st or 2nd grade, but I know teachers don't always get what they want...especially first year teachers! ;) I feel like being a sub has prepared me well for the job. Every day is a learning experience and no two days are a like! Kids are a whole lot harder on the sub than they are for their normal teacher, and it's SO funny how often other teachers ask me which kids are giving me a hard time and they are in shock by the names I give because those kids are usually little angels! The kids call me "Mrs. Ari" because "Ayala" has proven to be WAY to hard for them to pronounce! (although, sometimes it's hilarious to watch them try!) I'll be graduating in December of 2015 and CAN NOT wait to have my own classroom!
PINK: I am also an independent ambassador for Plexus Slim, the most natural way to lose weight! During my pregnancy and in the months after while battling postpartum depression, I gained close to 100 pounds. In the years since I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the weight. Weight Watchers, Nurti-system, diet pills (two different kinds!), protein shakes, and other diets I'd found online, in magazines, whatever! I was desperate! When one of my friends started posting about Plexus Slim, I thought it sounded too good to be true. After I saw some of her results, I started doing some research. I couldn't find anything bad about it! It's natural and safe; but better yet, it seems EVERYONE who tries it gets results! I finally broke down and ordered and I'm so glad I did! Plexus works by regulating your blood sugar levels (it was originally formulated for diabetics!), curbing your appetite and cutting out your cravings...and it works! I'm still in the beggining of my journey, but I'll be sharing updates with you from time to time! Click here to read more about Plexus Slim!

TASTE-BUDS: My newest obsession is cooking. When I was growing up, I was in all kinds of extra-curricular activities. Dance, sports, swim team, drill team, cheerleading, girl scouts, Indian Princess (when I was younger), honor societies...the list goes on and on! Needless to say, my family was always on the run! We honestly didn't eat at home very often! My husband, on the other hand, came from a home where his mom cooked 3 meals a day! When we got married, neither one of us really knew how to cook...so we basically lived on fast food, frozen dinners, restaurants and easy things to make like spaghetti and hot dogs! It wasn't that I didn't LIKE to cook, I just had a misconception that cooking was really hard and I didn't know how. Thanks to Pinterest and YouTube I've been learning a lot about cooking lately and really enjoy it! This was really my main motivation for starting this blog because I've been sharing recipes I've tried on Facebook and wanted a place to document these recipes and my family's opinion of them!
(Side Note: This is how I WISH I looked while cooking...this is NOT reality...LOL)

TUTUS: And, finally, for the last part of the blogs name...Tutus! This little hobby started because my daughter wanted to dress up as Elsa from Frozen. I found quickly that finding a cheap Elsa costume was not an easy feat (actually, finding an Elsa costume AT ALL is not an easy feat!)! So, again, thanks to Pinterest, I learned how to make tutus! Its fun and a bit of a stress reliever for me. The first one I made (Chloe's) wasn't the best looking, but I've perfected my technique since then. I've started selling tutus on Etsy and facebook and can't wait to start getting custom orders! Visit my Etsy store by clicking here

That's all for now :) Thanks for reading my blog and have a blessed day! :)
